When our founder, David Harley started Valhalla Pure Outfitters, he wanted to create a basecamp where adventurers could be outfitted with high quality gear and apparel. In 1990, he opened the first location at the foot of Valhalla Provincial Park, a remote and rugged playground in southern BC. Why? Rapid weather changes and tough terrain brought punishing wear-and-tear, but the park has ultimately taught us all we need to know about what makes gear great.

Since then, we’ve dedicated ourselves to making mountain life better. Never big box, never faceless, we help folks of all skill levels get ready for their next big adventure by offering expert advice, great gear, and a lifelong appreciation for Mother Nature. We have thirteen trailhead locations across BC and Alberta, and our online presence at vpo.ca which serves adventurers Canada-wide (with free shipping over $49, we might add).
